Mahabaleshwar, is the highest hill station in the Western Ghats of Maharashtra. Mahabaleshwar is one of the most spectacular and the largest of Maharashtra hill-stations.
Arthur's Seat is the most popular point in Mahabaleshwar. Although, popularly it is called as Queen of the Points, original name of the point is Madhi Mahaal. Located at around 13 KM from Mahabaleshwar Market, Arthur's Seat point is at height of 1470m.
Marjorie point is one such site from where one can get panoramic views of the Sahyadri. Marjorie point lies at an altitude of 1290 m, on the way to Arthur's point from Mahabaleshwar. For the young and venturesome, Marjorie point can be reached by horse riding.
Needle hole point is located near Kate's Point. One can see a natural rock formation with a hole in between, thus giving the name Needle-hole. The point is also famous for the view of Deccan traps, which look like an elephant's trunk.

Tapola, a small village aka the Mini Kashmir of Western India, which is located at a distance of 28 km from Mahabaleshwar. The main attraction of Tapola is the Shivsagar Lake, which is actually a reservoir of the Koyna Dam. You can go in for boating, water scooter rides, kayaking or swimming at the lake.
Venna Lake is a beautiful and scenic lake in Mahabaleshwar and is frequently flocked by visitors from all over India. It is one of the most famous tourist attractions of Mahabaleshwar, and its serenity is what speaks for the place. The lake is covered with tall trees and grass all over.
Kate's Point is named after the then British governor Sir John Malcolm's daughter. The original name of the point is Nake Khind and is situated at an altitude of 1290 m. Dhom dam as well as peaks of Kamalgadh, Pandavgadh and Mandardeo can be seen from Kate's Point.
